His manners were sort of ingrained into him; and he's polite to everyone he meets, even people who he doesn't necessarily like. However, no one is perfect, and Nate's far from it. He's shy and intractable when he gets into a corner; he's much more likely to lose a friend than give into an ultimatum. He can be extremely unsure of himself.
